Autumn and the plum trees are full of fruit – ready to be picked and cooked.
500 g Blue Plums
3 dl Water
½ Vanilla Pod
125 g Sugar (or as much as you like)
1-2 tbsps Potato Starch
Cold milk for serving or vanilla ice-cream
Wash the plums, halve them and remove the stones, put them in a saucepan together with the vanilla pod and 2 dl of water. Cook on low heat until the fruit is tender and completely broken down, stir occasionally.
Add sugar and cook for another 5 minutes. Mix the potato starch with 1 dl of water and add it to the fruits. Bring everything to boil and remove from the heat and pour into 4 bowls.
Can be served cold or warm with cold milk or vanilla ice-cream.
